I’m offering up a brand-spanking new wallet that I made just for this giveaway. It’s made from both re-used and new fabric. The outside is remnants of a linen blouse with pintucks that I used as inspiration for the padded quilting that runs in the opposite direction. Inside are two pieces from the new Spring Street line by Carolyn Gavin and a colorific polka dot that I used for the trim, too.

The wallet is so dorable…I love the colored dots fabric…reminds me of bubble printing as a kid…LOve strawberries….maybe you could make a couple of plushie strawberries and stich them in the corner of the quilt or as tassels at the edges!

You are an artist working with fabrics and threads instead of canvas and paint. I appreciate your most recent quilt – the way you create a palette of colors and play with the design, juxtaposing inter-related patterns and shapes.
I LOVE the wallet! I wonder what it might look like with a gray outer instead of the straw color? Either way, it’s fantastic.
And the strawberry patch quilt is that lovely slightly faded red into pink of all my favorite vintage quilts.

I love the colors in both your strawberry patch quilt and the wallet. Another variation I thought of for the wallet would be to use leaf patterned fabrics for the inside and a darker solid for the outside. About any way you cut and sew it the whole thing is a wonderful one of a kind item.

I’m very impressed with your quilt…I loooooove the colors and patterns possible in quilting, but I just don’t think I have the patience for quilting! I’m not good with straight lines. My Grandma was a wonderful quilter though. Maybe there is hope for me since quilting runs in my family?! 😉
